An Early Christmas Arrives Soon

Bryce is in red, Raymond in blue:

Greetings Peeps,
Did you experience in your childhood, after the excitement and candy rush of Halloween, gazing at the calendar to see the imminent approach of Christmas and how the march of the days would slow to a glacial pace?  I haven't had that experience for nearly 40 years and certainly adulthood with each passing year has most often moved as regularly and swiftly as a Swiss train (or how I would imagine trains to run in Switzerland).
I admire Bryce's choice of apparel:

Raymond evidently has begun working on his portrait pose:

However, since departing Lima on August 24, the unpleasant experience of childhood has rushed back not only in memory but in execution.  Adult logic told me that September 30 was a handful of weeks and then days away-but the time away from Marianella and the boys has been rather challenging, particularly once the work day ended.
I'm coming Mama, hang in there!:

But the calendar has continued to march ahead and in a few hours I will board the airplane for the long flight home to Lima and I will be in a swirl of jet lag, hungry and demanding babies, visits to doctor offices and Embassies for almost two weeks before I exhaustedly step back onto an airplane to return to Beijing.  Most of what lies ahead are not typically things I look forward to, but those hungry and demanding boys of ours override it all-I am giddy with the anticipation of seeing in person the growth (and longer sleeping hours!!!) that the boys have experienced in the time I have been away.

One last comment before you coo over the photos of the boys. . .on August 3, the Minnesota Twins were shuffling along with a 51-54 record and the front office conceded that the playoffs were not to be for this year's squad by making a couple trades of key players.  Then the boys were born on August 4 and since then? 33-22 (60% win percentage) and a spot in the playoffs (the first team ever to make the playoffs after losing 100 games the previous season).  I'm not saying it's the boys who brought about this run. . .but I'm just sayin'.  I'm hopeful that our little good luck charms will be ready for their first baseball game against the hated Yankees or Red Sox in a few days.
Looking rather angelic:

And a little video of the brothers plotting together:

Hi!!!
I'm so glad that I found this and I'm able to see some updates about the babies. They are growing really fast and most importantly it makes me very happy to see that they are healthy with very happy (and sleepy) parents. I wish you all the best in your new adventures in Beijing and an amazing holiday with the big family crew. Felices fiestas y les deseo un hogar lleno de amor y alegrías!!!!
